How To Keep Your LinkedIn Account Safe

Updated January 2025

Emailchaser is safe to use with your LinkedIn account.

However, certain actions may put your account at risk:

  • Using any additional automation tool alongside Emailchaser within a 72-hour timeframe.
  • Manually visiting hundreds of profiles in addition to using Emailchaser within a 72-hour period.
  • Acquiring your Sales Navigator license from an unofficial or external provider instead of LinkedIn.
  • Operating with a newly created or inactive LinkedIn account.
  • Using a fake or purchased LinkedIn account.

Engaging in one or more of these behaviors could result in receiving a similar message:

If this happens, don’t worry. You’ll most likely regain access to your account within 24 hours.

Be sure to reach out to the Emailchaser support team so we can investigate the issue and guide you on the next steps.

Once your account is restored, make an effort to avoid the risky actions outlined above.

If you want to be extra safe, you can pay someone a small monthly fee to "rent" their real LinkedIn account, so that all exports are performed on a real LinkedIn account that is not associated with your own account. If you wanted to take this even further, you could also use a VPN to change your IP address, and perform all exports on a separate computer.
