There are a lot of tools that allow you to send cold emails.
However, not all are created equal.
In this article, I will compare the top 40 cold email softwares. I will review their features, pricing and usability, and will let you know which you should use.
Important note: I am the founder of Emailchaser, so I am biased. However, in this article, I will provide helpful information so that you can come to your own conclusions.
Emailchaser was built to be an all-in-one cold email software.
It has all of the features that you need to launch a successful cold email campaign.
With Emailchaser, you can send cold emails at scale via their Campaigns feature.
You can also manage your leads with their Sales CRM. This allows you to create custom columns.
You can also export leads with their email addresses from LinkedIn Sales Navigator using their LinkedIn Email Finder extension.
Finally, you can find and verify email addresses with their Email Finder and Email Verifier tools.
Emailchaser costs $97 per month.
Billing is monthly, and there are no contracts, meaning that you can cancel anytime.
Also, Emailchaser gives you their “Professional Plan” for free for the first month, allowing you to try all of their features risk-free (no credit card required).
This is very reasonably priced when you consider that it has all of the features that you need to send cold emails. You don’t need to pay for other tools when you use Emailchaser.
Emailchaser has the best UI/UX.
It is very easy to use. Its dashboard and overall user interface is simple and clear.
When you sign up, there are onboarding instructions that you can follow. It also allows you to invite your team members.
Overall, Emailchaser is the best cold email software because it is simple to use, and has all of the features that you need to run a successful cold email campaign.
It is also reasonably priced and offers the first month free (no credit card required).

Hunter allows you to send cold emails. It also has an Email Finder and Email Verifier tool.
However, their Campaigns feature is limited, and their Email Finder tool finds 21% less emails than Emailchaser’s Email Finder.
Hunter doesn’t have a Sales CRM or LinkedIn Email Finder.
Hunter charges $104 per month.
However, they only allow you to connect 10 sender email accounts. Emailchaser allows you to connect an unlimited number of email accounts, which allows you to scale your outreach infinitely.
Hunter is relatively easy to use, but it can still be a little confusing for beginners.
When creating campaigns, the user flow isn’t clear, making it difficult for first time users.
Overall, Hunter is a good tool, but it isn’t the best.
If you use Hunter, you will still need to use other tools to find leads, and you will also be limited in your email outreach in terms of scalability as they don’t offer inbox rotation or unlimited email accounts.
Mailshake is a good tool if your primary goal is to send cold emails.
However, it doesn’t have a proper Sales CRM, meaning that it can be difficult to track the status of your leads.
Also, it doesn’t have a LinkedIn Email Finder and Email Finder. This means that you will need to pay for other tools to find leads and emails.
Mailshake charges $996 per user per year.
They don’t offer monthly billing, meaning that it is an expensive upfront cost.
Mailshake has good usability, meaning that it is easy to use.
Overall, Mailshake is a good tool for sending cold emails, but it lacks some features.
You will need to use other tools to find leads and emails if you use Mailshake. You will also need to use a different tool if you want a Sales CRM.
Close offers a robust sales CRM which is designed for sales teams.
You can also send sales emails with Close. However, their email sending functionality isn’t great if you are looking to send a high volume of cold emails.
Close charges $329 per month.
This is quite expensive compared to other tools, especially when you consider that they don’t offer all of the features needed for sending a high volume of cold emails.
Close can be a little confusing for first time users.
There is a relatively high learning curve when using Close for the first time.
Overall, Close is a good sales CRM for teams that want to send a relatively low volume of personalized cold emails.
But it isn’t the best tool if you want to send a higher volume of cold emails.
Lemlist offers a strong Campaigns feature, allowing you to create cold email campaigns.
You can send a high volume of emails with Lemlist, and there are many automation features that help you scale your outreach.
However, Lemlist doesn’t allow you to add an unlimited number of sender email accounts to a campaign, meaning that scaling is limited after a certain level.
Lemlist charges $99 per month per user.
This is a reasonable price considering that their Campaigns feature is very advanced.
Lemlist is difficult to use.
It is confusing, since their UI/UX isn’t clear. It can take a while to learn how to use Lemlist effectively. For example, creating an email campaign in Lemlist is not straightforward.
If you are only concerned with sending cold emails, then Lemlist is an ok option.
However, their design is confusing, and they don’t offer all of the features that you need for launching and managing a successful cold email campaign.
Snov.io offers a lot of features, such as Campaigns, Sales CRM, Email Finder and more.
Snov.io charges $99 per month for their main plan.
Snov.io is confusing for beginners because they have a lot of features that aren’t necessary.
This creates a situation where beginners don’t know what to do, due to there being too many options.
Snov.io is a good cold email tool.
They have a lot of features, but it can be difficult to use their platform if you are just starting.
HubSpot is a huge platform that has too many features to list here.
However, in the context of sending cold emails, their feature set is relatively limited.
They have a good Sales CRM, and they also have a Campaigns feature that allows you to send emails. But their Campaigns feature is very limited and not built for scale.
HubSpot charges $500 per month for their Sales Hub plan.
HubSpot is too bloated for most teams.
They have a lot of unnecessary buttons and options that make it difficult for users to know what to do.
HubSpot is bloated, overrated and isn’t built for sending a high volume of cold emails.
There are better cold email softwares that you can use (like Emailchaser).
Reply.io offers a Campaigns feature that allows you to send cold emails. However, they limit you to just two mailboxes, meaning you can’t scale your outreach.
They also have an email verifier tool.
Reply.io charges $90 per month per user. This is expensive considering they don’t have many features, and you can only connect two sender email accounts.
Reply.io is complicated. It is not easy to use.
You should not use Reply.io if your goal is to send cold emails. There are much better solutions available on the market.
AeroLeads offers almost everything that you need to send cold emails.
The only thing that they are missing is a Sales CRM.
Their Campaigns feature is very limited, and isn’t good compared to other cold email tools.
AeroLeads charges $99 per month.
AeroLeads is relatively easy to use.
Their design is not too complicated and is beginner friendly.
AeroLeads is not bad, but not amazing either.
Their Campaigns feature is lacking a lot of details that are important for scaling cold email campaigns, and they don’t have a Sales CRM.
Outreach.io offers a Campaign feature that allows you to send cold emails. However, their Campaigns feature isn’t great, and is missing a lot of important details that are crucial for scaling (such as inbox rotation and the ability to connect an unlimited number of sender email accounts).
They have a Sales CRM, but it is not beginner friendly.
Outreach.io doesn’t publicly show their pricing on their website. They force you to “request pricing”. This is a clear sign that they are overpriced. If they were reasonably priced, they wouldn’t feel the need to hide their pricing.
Outreach.io is a little complicated for first time users.
Their Sales CRM is bloated with too many buttons and options.
You shouldn’t use Outreach.io for cold emails. Their software is complicated and doesn’t allow you to scale your sending volume.
Salesloft offers a very basic Campaigns feature that allows you to send individual cold emails (but not at scale).
They also have a Sales CRM.
Salesloft doesn’t display pricing on their website. They force you to “request a demo”, which means that their prices will be very high.
Salesloft’s Sales CRM is bloated and complicated. Stay away.
You shouldn’t use Salesloft for sending cold emails. It is hard to use, lacks important features, and most likely is very overpriced.
Freshsales (Freshworks) offers a basic Campaigns feature that allows you to send individual cold emails.
They also have a Sales CRM.
Freshsales charges $47 per month per user.
Freshsales is not easy to use. Their Sales CRM is complicated and bloated with too many options.
You should not use Freshsales if you want to send a high volume of cold emails as it lacks important features.
Monday Sales CRM, as the name suggests, includes a Sales CRM.
You can also send emails, but their email sending capabilities are basic and not great for cold email.
Monday Sales CRM costs $90 per month. This gives you three seats. They don’t allow you to purchase just one seat.
Monday Sales CRM is reasonably well designed. It isn’t too complicated and is beginner friendly.
If you only want to send a low volume of cold emails, then Monday Sales CRM can work. But if you want to scale your outreach, then you shouldn’t use this software.
Zoho CRM is a sales CRM that also allows you to send emails.
Zoho CRM costs $65 per month per user.
Zoho CRM is difficult to use because there are too many buttons and options. It isn’t simple.
You should avoid using Zoho CRM for cold email campaigns as it lacks important features and doesn’t let you scale your sending volume.
Growbots has a good Campaigns feature that allows you to send a high volume of cold emails. However, they don’t have other features like a Sales CRM and Email Finder.
Growbots charges $199 per month per user.
Growbots has a relatively complicated user interface. It may be difficult to use if you are a beginner with cold email.
You shouldn’t use Growbots because it is overpriced for what you are getting. It also is lacking a lot of important features such as a Sales CRM and LinkedIn Email Finder.
Yesware has a Campaigns feature that allows you to send cold emails.
However, it lacks a lot of other features that are needed in the cold email process, such as a Sales CRM.
Yesware charges $85 per month per user.
Yesware has bad usability because it acts as a plugin in your Gmail or Outlook account.
This means that they are limited in how they can display information to a smaller space, leading to a complicated UX.
You shouldn’t use Yesware for sending cold emails because it lacks a lot of features.
Woodpecker offers a Campaigns feature that allows you to send cold emails. However, they don’t offer inbox rotation, meaning you can’t effectively scale your outreach.
They also have an email verification feature.
Woodpecker charges $54 per month per email account.
This is really bad value, because other tools (like Emailchaser) allow you to add an unlimited number of sender email accounts for no additional cost.
Woodpecker’s pricing model means that you would have to spend $1,000 per month (or more) to scale your outreach to similar levels of a tool like Emailchaser.
Woodpecker has a relatively simple and easy to use design.
You should not use Woodpecker because it will cost you thousands of dollars per month if you want to scale your cold email sending.
Smartlead.ai offers one of the best Campaigns features on the market.
If you want to send a high volume of cold emails, then Smartlead is a good choice. However, they lack a lot of features, such as a Sales CRM, so they aren’t an all-in-one solution.
Smartlead.ai charges $94 per month.
Smartlead.ai has poor usability. It is a complicated platform, and isn’t beginner friendly.
Smartlead.ai is a good tool for sending cold emails if you already know what you are doing.
If you are a beginner, then it’s best to avoid Smartlead.
OutReachBin offers a Campaigns feature that allows you to send cold emails.
The only other feature that they offer is an email warm-up tool, but I recommend that you avoid using warm-up tools as they are ineffective and can actually hurt your deliverability. You can learn more about this in my article Does Email Warm Up Work & Is It Safe?
OutReachBin charges $40 per month per email address.
This is very bad value, as it will cost hundreds or thousands of dollars if you want to scale your outreach.
OutReachBin’s user interface is a little complicated. It is not good for beginners.
You should avoid using OutReachBin for your cold email campaigns as it is very expensive and lacks a lot of important features.
Klenty offers a Campaigns feature that allows you to send cold emails.
However, they don’t offer any other important features.
Klenty charges $100 per month per user.
They also only offer annual and quarterly billing options, so there is a high upfront cost.
Klenty’s user interface is complicated and difficult to understand.
You should avoid Klenty because its Campaigns feature is not very advanced. Also, it is hard to use.
Amplemarket offers a Campaigns feature that allows you to send cold emails.
They also offer an email verification tool.
Amplemarket doesn’t display their pricing on their website. You need to request pricing by completing a contact form. This is a big red flag and implies that their prices will be very high.
Amplemarket has a complicated user interface. Beginners should not use this product.
You should not use Amplemarket for your cold email campaigns because its user interface is complicated, and their Campaigns feature doesn’t allow you to scale your sending volume via inbox rotation.
QuickMail offers a Campaigns feature that allows users to send cold emails.
The good thing about QuickMail is that they offer inbox rotation with their Campaigns feature, which means that you can add as many email accounts as you want to a single campaign. This allows you to scale your outreach.
QuickMail charges $89 per month.
QuickMail’s user interface is a little too complex. It isn’t straightforward for beginners.
QuickMail is good for sending cold emails, but not the best. They also lack a lot of important features, such as a Sales CRM.
Pipedrive is primarily a sales CRM, but it also allows you to send emails.
However, you can’t send a high volume of cold emails with pipedrive as they haven't built their product to allow this.
Pipedrive charges $75 per month per user.
Pipedrive’s sales CRM is very complicated. Beginners should not use this product.
Pipedrive isn’t a good tool for cold email sending. Although you can send cold emails with Pipedrive, it isn’t built in a way to allow you to scale your outreach and avoid spam.
Insightly offers a Sales CRM that allows you to track the status of your leads.
You can also send emails to your leads.
Insightly charges $99 per month per user, but they only offer annual billing, meaning that the upfront cost is very high.
Insightly’s user interface is relatively complicated, meaning that it isn’t a great option for beginners.
You should avoid using Insightly for your cold email campaigns because you can’t scale your outreach with their software.
Zendesk Sell offers a Sales CRM that allows you to track your leads during the sales process.
They also have a Campaigns feature that allows you to send emails to leads.
Zendesk Sell costs $149 per user per month.
Zendesk Sell is a complex piece of software that isn’t ideal for beginners.
You should not use Zendesk Sell for your cold email campaigns as they don’t offer inbox rotation, which means that you can’t scale your outreach.
Nutshell is a Sales CRM that also allows you to send emails.
Nutshell costs $79 per month per user.
Nutshell is simpler than most Sales CRMs. Beginners can use this software without needing to worry about complexity.
Nutshell is good for cold email if you are only sending a low volume of emails.
If you want to send a high volume of cold emails, then you should use a different tool (like Emailchaser).
Instantly offers a Campaigns feature that allows you to send cold emails.
Instantly charges $97 per month.
Instantly’s user interface is complicated. Beginners should not use this software.
Instantly is good for sending cold emails if you are looking to send high volume.
However, they lack certain features, and are also hard to use.
Apollo is a lead database. People pay to get access to their leads’ contact information.
You can also send emails through Apollo.
However, Apollo doesn’t have a Sales CRM.
Apollo charges $99 per month per user.
Apollo is relatively easy to use. Beginners can use Apollo without issue.
You shouldn’t use Apollo to get leads because their lead contact information is often outdated and used by thousands of other salespeople.
If you want to find lists of highly relevant leads with accurate contact information, then you should use Emailchaser’s LinkedIn Email Finder extension.
ZoomInfo is a company that sells lead data (contact information).
You can also send emails through ZoomInfo.
ZoomInfo doesn’t display pricing on their website.
They force you to fill out a form, and then one of their sales reps will call you.
This is a clear sign that they charge a lot of money.
ZoomInfo has an average user interface. It is not easy to use, but not difficult either.
You shouldn’t send cold emails with ZoomInfo because it wasn’t built for sending cold email campaigns that need to scale.
Their lead contact data is often outdated and overpriced.
Salesforce is a sales CRM that allows you to send cold emails.
However, it wasn’t built for sending a high volume of outbound cold emails.
Salesforce is $80 per month per user. However, they force you to pay the entire year upfront, which can be expensive for smaller businesses.
Salesforce has a very complicated user interface. You should avoid using Salesforce for this reason alone.
Salesforce is overly complex and not beginner friendly.
It also wasn’t designed to send a high volume of cold emails.
ContactOut has a Campaigns feature that allows you to send cold emails. However, you can’t send a high volume of emails with ContactOut because they limit the number of emails that you can send each month to a low number.
It also has a LinkedIn Email Finder extension and Email Finder tool.
ContactOut charges $99 per month.
ContactOut has a complicated user interface, making it difficult for beginners to use.
You should not use ContactOut for your cold email campaigns because you can’t send a high volume of emails, and it has a complicated user interface.
Lyne.ai has a Campaigns feature that allows you to send cold emails.
It also has a LinkedIn Email Finder extension.
Lyne.ai charges $120 per month.
Lyne.ai has a complicated user interface. It isn’t user friendly.
You should not use Lyne.ai to send cold emails because its user interface is complicated.
Also, the software wasn’t built to allow you to scale your outreach effectively.
RocketReach is a company that sells lead contact information.
Their data is often outdated and overused by other sales reps.
RocketReach’s Pro plan costs $150 per month per user.
They only give you 200 lookups (credits) per month. This is not good value. There are much more cost effective ways to find leads (like Emailchaser’s LinkedIn Email Finder extension).
RocketReach is easy to use.
RocketReach is not good for cold email because their lead contact info is often outdated.
Skrapp has a LinkedIn Email Finder, Email Finder and Email Verifier tool.
Their primary use case is to help their users find peoples’ email addresses.
Skrapp charges $99 per month.
Skrapp is an easy to use tool since its features are relatively basic.
Skrapp can be a useful tool for salespeople that need to find email addresses of leads.
UpLead offers a LinkedIn Email Finder extension, as well as an Email Finder and Email Verifier tool.
UpLead charges $199 per month. However, they only give you 400 credits per month, so it’s not good value.
Emailchaser’s LinkedIn Email Finder allows you to export 2,500 leads from LinkedIn each month, for only $97 per month.
UpLead has a simple user interface, allowing beginners to use it.
UpLead is overpriced. Their lead data is also likely outdated and overused. LinkedIn Sales Navigator is the best database for leads. Every other service that sells lead data (like UpLead) is just selling a worse outdated version of LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
VoilaNorbert offers an Email Finder and Email Verifier tool.
You cannot send cold emails with VoilaNorbert.
VoilaNorbert costs $99 per month for 5,000 credits.
VoilaNorbert is easy to use due to the fact that it is a simple feature set.
VoilaNorbert is good value for money. If you need to find a lot of emails, then it is a worthwhile option.
Findymail offers a LinkedIn Email Finder extension that allows you to export your LinkedIn Sales Navigator searches.
They also offer an Email Finder tool.
Findymail costs $99 per month.
Findymail is an easy to use tool since it only has a couple of simple features.
Findymail is a good tool for finding email addresses of leads on LinkedIn.
Wiza.co offers a LinkedIn Email Finder extension and an Email Verification tool.
Wiza.co charges $50 per month per user. This is very expensive when you consider the fact that they only give you 250 email credits per month.
Wiza.co is simple to use; beginners can use it without a problem.
Wiza.co is overpriced and should be avoided.
Anymail Finder is a simple Email Finder tool.
You cannot send cold emails with Anymail Finder, you can only find emails.
Anymail Finder charges $99 per month for 5,000 credits.
Anymail Finder is easy to use.
Anymail Finder is a good tool for finding emails. But it has very limited functionality.
Evaboot has a LinkedIn Email Finder extension that allows you to export your searches from LinkedIn Sales Navigator with the email address for each lead.
Evaboot charges $99 per month for 5,000 credits.
Evaboot is simple to use since it’s just a single feature.
Evaboot is a good tool to use if you are simply looking to find emails from LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
Emailchaser is the best cold email software because it has all of the features that you need to send a successful cold email campaign. It is also reasonably priced.
Cold email software is a genre of software that allows you to send outbound sales emails to leads. The best cold email software tools help you send a high volume of emails without going to spam.
